Life on the coast comes with plenty of options both on and off the water. The Indianola Marina is a great place to launch a boat and there’s a 900-foot pier at Lighthouse Beach that’s become a favorite for casting a line. You can also rent a kayak and paddle along Lavaca Bay or take a drive down to Magnolia Beach to walk the crushed-shell shoreline.

Off the water, Port Lavaca has a few local favorites worth working into your stay. We love to grab fresh Gulf shrimp at La Antojería or Shellfish Sports Bar or head downtown for small shops and live music at the Bayfront Peninsula Park. The Bauer Community Center also hosts local events throughout the year like craft markets and festivals.
